Mastering Engineer

A mastering engineer is a person who uses their technical expertise to make the final adjustments to a piece of recorded music before it is released, heightening its impact and ensuring that it will translate well to the variety of playback systems in use. 

The engineering process involves critically listening to the track while using digital tools to apply and adjust EQ, compression, fades, spacing, limiting, stereo enhancement, and other processors when necessary.
